Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area - Philadelphia International Airport

The hotel was horrible -- construction debris, dirty hallways, first room provided had an unmade bed, second room had trouble with key access but was comfortable & clean once that was resolved. Parking was extremely difficult and the front desk tried to charge me an additional $10 for parking. I definitely will not stay there again.

I would not give this hotel a 1. It should not be open. There was no hot water, it was dirty and the receptionist was not friendly.

The room was clean. The elevators were not working so we had to bring our luggage up 5 flights of steps. Shuttle was on time and clean. The Hotel did not have our reservation from parksleepfly. They were very helpful and met the price quoted from our online booking.

Frankly, I felt dirty after staying here. Nothing in the room was cleaned. The toilet had not been flushed form the last person who had used it. Disgusting. Never again.

The hotel was horrible. We've stayed here before and it wasn't as bad as it was this time. The hotel staff was nice. The elevator didn't work. We do really like the shuttle service though.

Still no elevator

hotel was terrible. room was filthy. the elevator was out of order. found out later it has been out of order for almost a year. bad experience!

When we arrived there were 5 police cars outside. a women was complaining there was a man in her room and they could not locate him, Elevators were not working.. the policeman suggested we not stay there. He found a room in Double Tree Hilton, Phil Airport our Cost was $202.48 and we had to pay for parking. Very disappointing. This Double Tree was a Class A+ I do not want to give any stars for Penrose Hotel. Bessie Savastano

Elevator was broken and we had to carry 3 large suitcases down because there was one one to help. It was just me and my two young children. We had to wait for 3 shuttles before we could get one.

I put one star because I do not think it is possible to go lower. I am usually not a person to write reviews but this place was awful. It started out with the check in and ended up with me having to walk 11 flights of stairs with all our luggage because they never reset the elevators after the fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning. If you do not reset the elevator after a fire alarm it will stay inactive until maintenance comes in and resets it. The staff was aware of the issue with the elevator and openly said what needs to happen but thought it was unnecessary to have someone come in and fix it. The staff at the front desk were argumentative about the Parksleepfly package we purchased. They pulled up my name and then tried to charge me for parking. I again explained to them that I should not be paying for parking. After 3 minutes of arguing he agreed to let me park for free. We get the keys and my wife and kids enter the room while I park the car. I get to the room and the look on their face constitutes for a negative star. The non smoking room smelled entirely of smoke. The blankets had cigarette burns in them. The cleanliness of the facility was not sanitary. I calmed them down by letting them know it is only 1 night. The night began - I checked the beds for bed bugs and was pleasantly surprised to find none. Everyting was going well until 4 in the morning when the fire alarms went off. I called the desk to ensure that there was not a problem - yes we should of evacuates but after everything we went through I had my suspicions. The front desk answers and says it is someone smoking in their room to not worry about it. We did that and the alarm went off again but the second time for not as long. After all this excitement I did not sleep well. Around 6:15 I decided it was time to get up and get a coffee. I walk to the elevator and wait for about 5 minutes. After waiting for 5 minutes I decided to take the steps. I reach the bottom to find out that they do not have coffee until 7 so I had to walk across the street and get coffee. After getting coffee I return to find out why I had to walk - the elevators need reset because the fire alarm that went off 2.5 hours earlier. They do not have an on call person to take care of these types of issues so people need to take the stairs until the next shift comes in. I would NEVER reckoned this place to anyone. It was an all around horrible experience and I hope this review will push you to stay somewhere else. I was not expecting a 5 star but this place is awful

The room was spacious but we saw a mouse and there was no TV remote. There are only 2 elevators for a 15 story large hotel. During peak hours we waited at least 5 min. for the elevator. The hotel shuttle is only a Chevy suburban. We had to wait for a second trip because there was limited cargo space..The staff was very courteous.

Very accomadating

Room was substandard. No moisture removal in bathroom . Faucet was loose. receptacle in bathroom did not work. Check in was difficult. Would never consider staying there again!

Room was not clean, holes in the wall, and did not feel safe.

Great location from airport.Older Hotel but very clean.Staff was friendly and courteous, including Shuttle Drivers.

Hotel really needs a update on rooms

Needs some TLC. We wanted to make coffee in room all things there to make it except coffee maker. The whole room could use some fixing up.

The hotel is in good proximity to the airport and quite handy for parking. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable. The rooms were nice. Only one complaint. The cable TV selections were limited and dismal!! No ESPN, no movies (on regular cable channels) or anything interesting. When in a hotel, it is nice to escape with choices in TV watching. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with the caveat that they better bring their own entertainment. Reggie, the shuttle driver was quite helpful!!

This average hotel met our needs, nothing fancy but adequate. The restaurants across the street delivered our dinner to us.
