TownePlace Suites Portland Airport - Portland International Airport

The building says Towneplace Suites, when I put the address in my GPS it says Clarion (permanently closed) and the airport shuttle has Lakeside Suites on the side. Definitely confusing. A large area of the lobby is closed for construction, which the lady at the check-in said has been ongoing for years. All that aside, though, I stayed one night before my trip and one night after, as well as leaving my car for a week in between, and both rooms were very nice and clean and the whole reservation was very reasonably priced. Our first room upon check in had water on the floor in front of the dishwasher - when I let the front desk know they apologized profusely and immediately moved us to a new room. When we returned from the trip and called for a shuttle back to the hotel, they came promptly.

The Clarion is remodeling so things are a little messed up. The new rooms are beautiful. Only complaint was no hair dryer in room. I did receive one after asking for one.

Even with construction, the hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Great shuttle service and my car was untouched in the parking lot.

Great room; great customer service;

The room was well attended. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Was hoping the parking was fenced in, but everything seemed ok when we arrived back.

In the process of being renovated so the elevator nearest the lobby was closed, which, for me, was inconvenient when I returned from my trip. Since the shuttle doesn't operate after 11p.m. I had to use an Uber, which was pricey for a very short drive; I wish the shuttle was available a little later. The receptionist on duty that night was very accommodating and helped me with my luggage, since I had to go outside and enter another door in order to use the elevator. The newly renovated room, however, was excellent!

Quiet hotel and efficient shuttle service. Our car was well kept in their parking lot.

The room I stayed in on 3/6/25 was adequate and comfortable. The room I stayed in on 3/21/25 was in the renovated section and was luxurious. The coffee room had only coffee so that was a bit disappointing. I was also a little disappointed that the hotel had no restaurant but there were many fast food places nearby. All in all it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel is being remodeled, so first floor rooms weren’t available. We were assigned the room right across from the elevator on the second floor which was perfect since we had a lot of luggage. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I’d stay there again - no problem at all.

The hotel staff were cordial and accomodating.
