We did a park-sleep-fly reservation with this hotel which allowed us to sleep the night before our flight, leave our car in their parking lot during our 1 week trip, and sleep the night after we returned.
The parking: horrible. They said it was gated - the gate arm was permanently up and no one manned the parking lot. Everyone had free access to the parking lot and the lot is in an industrial type area, zero confidence in security. That being said, our car was not broken into when we left it.
Location- great for proximity to the airport. To one side of this hotel there was a lot with a bunch of semis. The whole area was dark, not well lite. No restaurants in walking distance, few choices while driving.
The hotel- very run down. 1990s or early 2000s feeling. I shudder to think what a black light would show. Our AC unit was falling off the wall. But the heat and AC did work well. The mattress and pillows were horrible.
The staff- we checked in with our friends and asked for rooms next to each other. They said that shouldn't be a problem since they had rooms. However, they put us on opposite sides of the building. Our room was much bigger than theirs. Same price. However, the staff the next morning was very friendly. They are inconsistent with their phones. Before going, I called several times and they did not answer. I called the day after we checked out to resolve a billing issue. They put me on hold. After waiting 10 minutes on hold, I continued to wait on hold with my phone while calling again on my husband's phone - they finally answered the call I was making with my husband's phone and immediately asked how they could help. They obviously were not ever going to get back to my other call (made with my phone) which was still on hold. Bottom line, if they ask if you can hold, say no.
The airport shuttle - they said it ran evey half hour. But the shuttle driver does NOT wait at the airport. If you are waiting inside and see it pull up, and then walk outside, you might miss it! Also, they say it runs every 30 minutes however our experience was more like every 45. However when I asked when the last shuttle was, one hotel employee said 730 pm, one said 10 pm and one said 1130 pm. We were never successful at getting a shuttle after 7 pm.
I would NOT recommend this hotel

The location of the hotel , parking and transportation to and from the airport was the only plus to this stay.
The rooms were very old whit no upgrade what so ever, there was black mold throughout the room with the bathroom being the worst. I would never stay at this location again.
I asked for a wake up call so I would be on time for my flight and it never happened, in the morning when I asked who was responsible for the wake up call the young women behind the counter never even responded to me, very poor service.
( The evening clerk was very nice and a pleasure to talk with, his name is Asante Abdullah)

Hotel was old, under construction and needed some TLC. But the staff and shuttle and location to the airport made this a very good stay.

The shuttle was unavailable when my flight finally arrived at Newark so I had to take a cab to the hotel.
The hotel was a bit scary, honestly. It seemed like thee were transients wandering around, not travelers, but semi-permanent residents.
The toilet in my room was like something akin to what is used in STADIUMS, NOT hotels.

Hotel was very old, in need of a makeover, recently flooded from Hurricane Ida smelled like mold. Did not fit the quality we would expect from Wyndham.

If price is your guide, then this is the place for you. We paid for 12 nights parking and an overnight stay for less than just parking at other places. That being said, there is a lot of room for improvement, which they are currently renovating a wing. The furniture was really old but the king bed was comfortable and the bathroom worked so can't complain about the room. The shuttle service was great going out with almost no wait but on the return, we waited over 40 minutes to get the ride back and did see other hotel shuttles 2 or 3 times before ours showed up. Our car was left outside and was fine when we returned so again - can't complain about the end result but please improve the shuttle and furnishings.

The hotel did not have shuttle service available when we had to go to the airport. The hotel called a taxi.

Rarely have I ever stayed or seen a worse hotel. I realize it was under refurbishing but the rooms and beds were awful and it felt dirty and was dirty. I had booked a room with two beds and was given a king even thought we paid an extra $10.00 per night for the two beds and asked for them upon arrival. So I had to go back to the front desk and again request the two. The hotel being a Wyndham we thought would be an acceptable place to stay. So this was a real surprise to find it so bad. The location was a nightmare to get to from within the complex road system around Newark. The one bright note was that the shuttle was on time and good. The parking was fine. But I would never recommend this hotel and will never go there again.

It was dirty . My room was full of roaches , sheets were dirty with spots that I don’t even want to imagine what happened with those sheets . The coffee maker was moldy and the white towels didn’t look white . Bathroom shower had blood so I couldn’t even shower . The little rest I had was on the couch

This hotel has to be the worst I have stayed in and all my years of traveling I would think you would close this establishment down during the remodeling

Rooms were dated. Large hole in outside wall at sign. Pealing paint and wallpaper. Full garbage receptacle at front desk. Missing parts of smoke detector. Couldn't get a shuttle to the airport (because we had an early flight-needed a shuttle at 530 am) but also couldn't get a shuttle on the way back(they did not answer the phone) so we used uber both ways. When we returned to pick up our vehicle, we found a lobby full of people with no one to service them. From people needing a shuttle to people needing to be checked in. One gentleman said he had been waiting an hour at the desk.

Hotel was convenient to the airport and the shuttle was on time with frequent departures and pick-up at the airport. The hotel is old and dingy. Rooms are also stale and in need of updating..

The front desk staff was friendly. The hotel is being updated - and it desperately needs it. The smell of marijuana was noticeable in several areas of the hotel (coming from guest rooms). We didn’t use the shuttle to the airport, as we needed to leave before 7am. The shuttle back from the airport pulled up just as we arrived to the pick up area at EWR.

The parking was very difficult to secure because the parking lot was completely full upon arrival, even though we booked ahead of time.
The shuttle did not leave on time.
Upon return, we called the hotel to confirm the shuttle service and the front desk staff confirmed service every 30 minutes. We waited over 90 minutes without ever getting a shuttle. We called the hotel during the 90 minutes several times, but no one picked up. When we called a different dept to try and get someone on the phone, they simply transferred us to the line where no one picked up. It was 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside and many others were waiting for the Wyndham shuttle as well. During this time, every other shuttle came multiple times; but no Wyndham shuttle, despite assurances that there was service every 30 minutes. Eventually we were forced to call a Lyft service, which cost us about 20 dollars with surcharges and extra large size for our 4 persons with luggage. Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk staff (2 young women) was dismissive and unprofessional. They claimed since they had just come on duty after a Shift change that they had nothing to do with it and didn't have anything to say. They also claimed that the shuttle was a courtesy service , which meant that they didn’t really have any obligation to pick us up. They seemed ignorant and it was clearly pointless to argue with them about the advertised service of driving us to and picking us up from the airport as part of the parking service they had sold us. And although we had a booked room for that night in addition to the parking, and a confirmation email with a confirmation number, they could not find our reservation in the system. We spent about 10-15 minutes standing around as they entered our confirmation number (which they said was generally a useless number, which in itself is odd since it is their confirmation number), our names, the dates, but nothing came up in their system. We had actually already appeared at their desk and presented our credentials 2 weeks earlier when we arrived to start the parking service at the beginning of our trip. So they must have known our reservation at that point since they issued us a parking pass for our vehicle. They now proceeded to lay the blame on us for their system problems. There was no logic in their statements, and frankly at this pony we were about ready to leave the hotel and drive home the 4 hours (even in our jet lagged post-flight state), rather than further deal with this very unprofessional and disrespectful situation. But our physical state was just too tired to risk driving home, so we asked to get a room as per our booked reservation, even if it wasn’t in their system. The hotel clearly wasn’t full, so this didn’t pose a problem, which begged the question as to why we had to endure the back and forth about their system failure in the first place.
We did ask for the name and info of the general manager, with whom we will also lodge a formal complaint. Sadly, I fear that this facility is hopeless, and no one should not count on this situation getting any better. If you can park elsewhere, even for more money, you really should avoid this facility. The parking is not great, the hotel looks dirty and run down, the staff has no professional demeanor or customer service skills, and your chances of getting acceptable shuttle service are as good as your chances of winning the lottery.
Do yourself a favor and choose better than we did. We learned that you can not count on these folks, and we will go somewhere else next time.

The room was clean and OK, but the AC made a very loud thud every 20 minutes or so when it came on. So I didn't sleep very well. Then in the morning when I came down at 7:55AM for the 8:00 shuttle to the airport, I was told the shuttle had a flat tire! They called me a cab, but it cost me $25 +tip to get to the airport. They didn't pay for it. When I returned from my trip, I tried calling the hotel several times to see if the shuttle was running, but no one would answer the phone. Very odd hotel service. The shuttle did come though.

We got in late but called the hotel to tell them so. When we checked in they gave us a room with one king sized bed. We told them that we booked for 2 beds as we were a party of 4. They finally found a room with 2 double beds but the toilet didn’t flush well. So after complaining. They did give us the key to the original king sized bed toom so we can have working toilet.
After we were checked in, we found out that the airport shuttle didn’t start until 7 am—our flights were around 8 am—so we had to hire a Uber ride which partially defeated the Park-sleep-fly idea. Oh course the advertised breakfast was not available early either. Not at 6 am!
Other than that. Our return trip worked out just fine as we were able to catch the Wydham Garden hotel shuttle and retrieve our car. On a side note, since this was our first time flying into Newsrk Airport, it would have been handy to be told by the hotel staff that we needed to catch the Airtrain into P4 station to catch the shuttle. But I guess if we had the opportunity to take the shuttle for our departure, then we would have known that. We have used Park Sleep Fly before and we generally like the value especially having an all exclusive fee for hotel, shuttle and parking.
