Magnuson Hotel Detroit Airport - Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Staff was friendly and helpful. Prior to our early morning departure power in the area went out. Staff assisted me in getting a cup of coffee, cream and sugar. Could have used more salt by the doorways, it was quite icy. Room comfortable and convenient for our short stay. Thank you.

Pictures were better than the actual room. I walked in and stood at counter watching the front desk employee eat for about 10 min before he acknowledged I was even there.

Due to the current climate, we did stay at the hotel but our flight was cancelled, so we did not go on our trip. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful. The shuttle service took us to the airport so that we could take care of cancellations. They were prompt, polite and professional. We are looking forward to using this hotel again when we rebook our trip. We did not use the parking services, since our trip was cancelled.

The room we had is in serious need of remodeling or updating. The bed was sagging and the paint was peeling.

I went to Houston for family trip with my two sons and wife. On our way stayed in this hotel. It was not a good hotel to stay. There were smell from the carpet. I may not stay at this facility in future.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom needs to be cleaned up, corners dirty, ceiling isn’t even, floor very cold. I would not stay again

The only problem was that the hotel had no hot water and I believe they knew that at my time of check in and simply didn't tell me. The next morning, 3:00 am, I woke up to catch an early flight and had not hot water for the shower. The kid at the desk was flustered and didn't have authority to give a refund or a coupon of any kind. Knowing that this was an issue I would have thought that the management would have been prepared to make it right. I had to call and talk to the manager the next day and he just wanted me to mention it the next time I reserved but I insisted that they give me something in writing but when I stopped to pick it up it was only good for 30 days. He didn't mention that it would expire at any time. I felt that they should have been given something at checkout that day and it should have a longer time value than 30 days.

Nice Hotel and it smelled good when we walked in the front door, pleasant staff. I liked that we got the parking voucher to park right across the street at Airlines Parking - my preferred place to park when I fly. My 'cons' were the shampoo packets contained way too small amount of shampoo to wash my collar length hair and the shampoo and soap packets were extremely hard to open.. I wished for a pair of scissors. The bathroom could have been cleaner, there was a build up of dust on the air vents, and last- the airplane noise and the heater noise kept me awake most of the night. I would come back because it is a good value but I would bring ear plugs.

Good hotel friendly service

I paid for and was given 10 vouchers for my 19 day stay. When I returned I was told that I could I my use 8 of my vouchers. Not happy. Shuttle driver who helped me find my car when I lost my reminder ticket was unbelievably kind and helpful. I wish I remembered his name. He is a white man approximately 60. My return date and time was Monday January 13. At 1:30 p.m.

It’s the perfect I only need a room for a few hours while I wait for my flight hotel.

Beds were not very comfortable and the rooms were not in very good shape.

Surprisingly quiet for right next to a airport. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
