I’m not going to lie; I had low expectations for this airport hotel due to the extremely reasonable price for an overnight plus 8 nights of car parking during our trip to the Caribbean. Our room was much more comfortable than I imagined a ‘standard room’ being. The king bed was super comfortable, the room immaculate, and in the lobby as we departed at 4:30 on the hotel shuttle provided chamomile tea with lemon, which was exactly what we needed, both my husband and I fighting colds on our first day of vacation. And when we returned we did not even need to access our coats from our luggage. The hotel van was waiting for us at the shuttle pick up and he dropped us right by our car. A truly good experience.

Good hotel, close, parking on site. Room was very good, restaurant had limited menu. There needs to be instructions printed and handed out about getting the shuttle to return to the hotel. You have to get the Airtrain from your terminal to 'Federal Circle' and then wait for your shuttle bus. Not hotel's fault, but signage was non-existent at JFK, elevator to Airtrain was broken. A simple preprinted card left in your room or handed out by driver would have improved the process.

Room was clean and comfortable. We were actually able to watch the planes land from our room. Far enough away so the noise wasn’t any issue at all. Restaurant/bar was fine. Just needed a quick bite. Shuttle is every hour on the hour to get to the airport. 10 minute easy ride. Large group was with us waiting. The hotel ran 2 shuttles to make sure everyone got to there on time. We were so excited we forgot to ask about the return. You need to take the air Tran to federal circle. The green and white holiday inn shuttle (Not holiday inn express shuttle, just ask the drivers, they were very helpful) arrives on the half hour. Will definitely use this hotel for future trips.

My only issue is for business accounting purposes I need a breakdown of parking cost and room cost and the hotel is unable to provide this. Your confirmation email does not have this either.

We booked the Holiday Inn JFK for the sleep, Park and fly feature. We booked two nights. Our overall hotel experience was as expected. We arrived in the evening and tried to get dinner at the hotel restaurant. The evening staff at the hotel restaurant left a lot to be desired. We sat for over 20 minutes and were not acknowledged at all by the waitress on duty. We ended up going off-site for dinner. When we mentioned the lack of service to the front desk, they were very apologetic and offered us a free breakfast voucher for our troubles. The morning staff at the hotel restaurant were fantastic both at the start and end of our stay.

Disappointed that the Holiday Inn address is listed online as 154-71 Brookville Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11422 when the GPS apps, Garmin and Maps, locate the hotel only as in Rosedale. After spending an extra 30minutes trying to find it, stopping at the Holiday Inn Express nearby for help, I found the Holiday Inn. First thing I notice when I walk to the counter is that all the business cards do say Rosedale. Asking the front desk person if anyone else has had problems locating she doesn't give a darn. Asking her to add my Holiday Inn member number to my reservation, she writes it down but I find out she never input it.

The staff was friendly but the hotel itself is old, musty and uncomfortable. It was also exceptionally warm — 78 degrees in the hallways. Our room was cooler but it was difficult to maintain a consistent temperature. The heating/AC system is noisy. The in-room coffee machine didn't work. A large garbage bag placed by the elevator in the evening was still there in the morning. The hotel restaurant/bar was like a stream bath. I bought a beer to take up to my room but couldn't wait to get out of there. A gentleman facedown at the bar, literally, didn't add to the ambiance. The shuttle service was good and we we had no issues parking.

The hotel room was adequate, although very small. However, it did have a comfortable bed and that is what really mattered to us at the time. The shuttle service to the airport was shaky. We were waiting at the hotel to be taken to the airport. We were assured the next ride would be at a certain time. The time came and went without a ride. I had to go back to the reception area and ask about the shuttle only to find the shuttle driver chatting. I inquired and was told by the driver that he didn't realize we were waiting for him. Finally taken to the airport 45 minutes later than previously told. We opted for a cab upon returning home from our vacation.

Perfect stay. Shuttle Driver at the end of his shift came to pick us up anyway at the airport, he was so thoughtful and cheerful. Really appreciated this as it got us on the road out of the city quicker which after a long days travel was awesome. Did not catch his name but a big thanks!
