The hotel and room itself was ok.

It was clean. And every staff member was super friendly.

The hotel was rundown. There were holes in the wall, the shower was cracked and the toilet was wobbly. I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast and when I cracked it open the white part was brown and it smelled terrible. The coffee smelled like bleach, almost like someone cleaned the canister and didn’t rinse it properly. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself needs some upgrades and some quality control.

Great place to stay and park.

The Howard Johnson was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional, I would stay here again if flying out of Detroit.

Dirty Rooms…. I say “rooms” because at 11:00pm I had to go through 3 rooms before I could find one that was at bare minimum, somewhat “acceptable”. Staff members were “nice”, but the rooms were just plain bad. Very unfortunate.

We had several issues with this hotel. After checking in, we were taken to the airport (we were doing the 'sleep' part upon return). After going through security & getting to our gate, I received a phone call. The person that checked us in had kept my husband's driver's license! She never removed it from the copy machine. She said she would keep it at the desk- for 3 weeks! Unacceptable. She wanted my husband to meet the driver back at the drop-off zone. Not happening, as he is disabled & has difficulty walking long distances. I met the driver back a the drop-off zone then had to go back through TSA security & get back to our gate in time to board. On our return flight, our last flight was canceled & we had to catch a flight the next morning. I contacted the hotel to notify that we would not need to room. Upon return to the hotel, I understood that we would need to pay for parking for the time we used it, & asked for a partial.refund since we did not need or use a room. I was told no refunds. I will be contacting Howard Johnson corporate offices.

The room was clean the staff was very polite. Coffee was available always. The building itself is very dated but Allowed us a comfortable stay

Check in was easy. Staff was wonderful. Room was updated and comfortable

Over all... exactly what we needed.

Friendly and helpful

Staff was nice. The room was clean, the mattress was great. We had a very short shuttle ride to the airport.

I stayed for one night and parked my car at their location for 5 and picked it up after returning from my trip. When I arrived the gentleman that checked me in was very kind and helpful. I had to be to the airport at 5:30am and they told me to arrive in the lobby 20 minutes beforehand but when I went down in the morning the driver was already there waiting. I forgot my water bottle in the shuttle and they kept it at the hotel and had it waiting for me when I flew back. I called the number provided and shuttle was quick to pick me up from the airport (10ish minutes) and return me to my car. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again.

We had stayed at an airport Howard Johnson before but not this property, This property was old and in disrepair. The lights in the room didn't work and the ice machine was not functioning. The breakfast bar was poor at best. The hotel was visibly dirty. On the bright side, the hotel staff were friendly and courteous. The shuttle driver was helpful and punctual.

Our whole experiance was excelent!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Check in was quick and area was clean and the clerk was friendly.

People were friendly and the experience went even better than I expected.
