Clarion Des Moines Airport Hotel - Des Moines International Airport

Newly renovated..our room was amazing, the bed was the most comfy hotel bed I have had in many many stays at other locations. Lobby decor is beautiful and the pool are - we did not use but was very nice as well!

Awesome! Great service to & from and our stay was very nice. When we returned we had issue with car starting. The staff went above and beyond to help us

Hotel lobby was attractive enough but it ended there. Room seemed like it had a recent quick cheap update. Lighting was weird, lots of little things seemed “off”. Door to room was definitely not fire code. There were children and adults making noise in the hallway until late at night. We booked this based upon other reviews and the fact that we could leave our vehicle there at no charge while away, with shuttle service to and from the airport. The shuttle looked good from the outside but the seats made you wonder if you should sit in them. While the staff was very friendly, I would not recommend this hotel opting to go elsewhere and pay extra for parking my vehicle.

Terrible place to stay did not feel safe we left and went to a different Hotel.

The hotel bed mattress needs to be replaced. It was lumpy.

Clean & room was adequate for our stay. Breakfast options were good.

Thank you, everything was excellent! I was very nervous about how long I would have to wait for the shuttle and there was absolutely no wait talking me to the airport or picking me up. The people were very friendly, helpful and a good room. I even forgot to put the paper on the car dash , notice it 2 days later so called the hotel, and told them. Told me not to worry it will be ok. Yes, I will be staying there again in November.

Hotel was great. Had a good night sleep and refreshed the next day.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The reception was unable to find my information both directions, it took 20inites for them to find the reservation

Our overall stay was good. The room needs some updating. We appreciated the fact that there was a restaurant on site. The staff was very courteous. The shuttle service was great. We only had to wait five minutes for the shuttle to come pick us up from the airport on our return.

The stay was ok. My tv didnt work and it took them over a hour to get it figured out.

Worst night ever. Hotel had booked 120 rooms for state wrestling tournament. Then they let the guests party all night...literally ALL night long. Our room was next door to the party area which was right next to the lobby. Hotel staff did nothing to quiet the partiers.

Room was OK. Hotel was hosting high school wrestling teams in town for a meet. Children running down the hallway during the evening ... quite late. My wife had problem getting to sleep and we had an early flight. We needed to leave very early and were unhappy that the hotel did not prepare a box meal that we could take to the airport. Their attitude was that the "kitchen" was open at 5AM and you could get a meal but when you are getting ready for a 6AM shuttle it can be hard to find the time. Finally, the hotel shuttle stops running at midnight. My flight was supposed to get in a little before then but was late. I provided the hotel info on my flights to hotel staff but they never noted any problem I might have with the shuttle. But then the staff that I dealt with, didn't seem to care much about anything. This morning, after driving back home from the airport (arriving close to 3AM) and some sleet, my wife noticed that our car had been dented during its stay at the hotel. I certainly will not stay here again.

Shuttle service was great. Rooms were clean and nice. Will stay there again
